Mark Twain once has say, only people live in the stone age need titles and rank to show their confident.

Alas, perhaps Malaysian has learn how corrosive of a title. I notice many Malay still call Anwar Ibrahim as DSAI – Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Although they call him with the title in respect, however, our Malay friend did not notice it is a disrespect to Anwar Ibrahim.

Elizabeth Wong has mentioned this in her blog And don’t call me ‘YB’ please.

First – we have to change this ‘bodek’ feudal culture of Umno. ‘Yang Berhormat’ or YB is only appropriate in the halls of the state assembly or Parliament. Do the Brits or Australians go around calling their MPs or state legislators ‘Right Honourable’ in public? Nope.

Interesting. It seems Anwar Ibrahim has shake off the title mindset. I know Anwar quite anjoy the Dato Sri title, well, road to corruption easily start from a title. Once a person blind by the title, he will forget his root. Title and rank are corrosive, even your earn it. The title will separate one from the reality.

Now come to DAP, I hope people like JeffOoi ,Tony Pua aware of it. After all, this is their first time as Members of Parliament, unlike uncle Lim Kit Siang.

If Anwar Ibrahim bring out the mandate and suggest state government to help setting up vernacular school, not just Chinese, but also Tamil and Kebangsaan, implement program for education interaction, it will send MCA and MIC to neverland forever. Sabah and Sarawak people never has chance to setup their vernacular school.
