10 excos is not enough for Perak, make it 15 and case close!

Thanks mob1900🙂

Nataniel Tan mentioned a deadlock on Perak state exco distribution.

By way of further context: In Perak, DAP won 18 seats, KeADILan 7 and PAS 6.

*If* I understand correctly what the current DAP-PAS agreement that is being questioned is:

MB – PAS
TMB 1 – DAP
TMB 2 – Indian (party yet indeterminate)

Of 10 Exco Seats:
8 – DAP
2 – Lain-Lain

What Dr. Syed said is that under this arrangement, KeADILan will refuse any Perak State Exco seat.

He also said – and again this is very important – that regardless of the outcome, KeADILan will still support a DAP-KeADILan-PAS led state assembly (and thus, government).

So before we take in sensationalist accounts, I hope we can consider the facts.

As to what is fair or unfair with regards to the Exco positions et al, I suppose that is a matter of opinion.

Why quarrels 3 days for this. The solution is so simple. Make a pact, create 5 news exco-seats, then make such arrangement

MB – PAS
TMB 1 – DAP
TMB 2 – Female < —— I strongly suggest than base on race

15 Exco Seats allocation
8 – DAP
2 – PKR
2 – PAS
3 – Appointed neutral expert/commerce leader/NGO nominated by DAP,PKR and PAS.

This will make sure you won’t fall into too much politics and detach from the people.

Solved.

……..
but i dun think adding exco can solve the problem and it is not an options…

anyhow i hope it can solve soon…

Please lar, tell us why it is not an options. Now BR and the people are the shareholder of the Perak state.

Is it because the solution so —–simple——-, so nobody think of doing it?

Opinion I shamelessly hijack from mob1900 blog.

but alas, if I’m not mistaken, this would not be easy because the state constitutions stipulate the number of EXCO positions. So if we want more EXCO posts… 2/3 needed to make that magic happen. But someone do check for me, I’m not 100 sure about that.

But anyway, even if that is not the case, I think this EXCO expansion thing is a bad BN culture… it sets a precedent that to make people happy, just cincai give them some power. This is the wrong approach to governance. We should avoid a large and unwieldy and inefficient executive.

No, this is not expansion, because Barisan Rakyat Menteri Besar are NOT BN Menteri besar. Also, it is timely to bring in more people voices. Yes, it will crack DAP,PKR and PAS head to find 3 neutral representatives.😉

Of the 2/3 requirement….hmmmm.. I need to do some research.

BTW, I feel somewhat strange, 3 MB and 10 excos ? And this is similar to Selangor, 10 excos. OMG,

But anyway, even if that is not the case, I think this executive expansion thing is a bad BN culture (FIVE MINISTERS IN PM’S DEPARTMENT??? GILA KA???)… it sets a precedent that to make people happy, just cincai give them some power. This is the wrong approach to governance. We should avoid a large and unwieldy and inefficient executive. Expanding the EXCO should be a last resort to maintaining the stability of the state governments – that is, if it’s even possible to begin with.
